Aftercare

After your session you will have a choice on aftercare.

Derm shield ‘second skin’: 

Derm shield, also known as ‘second skin’ is a medical grade, clear bandage that you keep on for upwards of 3-4 days. This wraps is water proof, and is beneficial for those that need extra coverage or wish to not worry about the healing process for a few days. However, if you have any allergies to bandaids or adhesive, this bandage will not work for you. 

After 3-4 days, remove the bandage in the shower. Sometime the adhesive is strong so don’t be afraid to pull. Once removed, wash and moisture your tattoo up to twice a day for two weeks. Scent free lotion and soap is recommend. Please avoid bars of soap also as it harbors alot of bacteria.

Please note: 

You will initially develop fluid inside the wrap. This will dry on its own.

• If bandage lifts before 3-4 days don’t not stick back down, remove immediately.

• If you developed redness around the bandage or get an irritation, just remove the wrap and take a anti-histamine if needed.

Saran (plastic) wrap: 

The classic Saran wrap, keep on for 24hours or until the following morning. Once removed, shower and rinse off any residue. Wash and moisture your tattoo twice a day for two weeks with scent free, dye free soap and lotion.
